This is so cool!

I am at the airport, waiting for my flight to be scheduled.

It was an 8 AM flight, rescheduled to 9 AM earlier.

Further delayed - the new time not yet announced.

I had a quarrel with the "Indian" (Indian Airlines) staff first, demanding to make me comfortable due to the delay. I won. They gave me access to the Executive Lounge.

Trust me, the attitude is p.a.t.h.e.t.i.c.

I had to escalate things to the Duty Manager to get my way.

What is cooler is this -- I searched for Wi-Fi networks.

Found "Unsecured Airtel FREE Wi-Fi"

Connected ..

When I opened my web browser, I saw an Aitel page asking me to sign-up.

Simply put in my cell number and got an SMS with a username/password.

And here I am.

Best part - this free account has a validity for 1000 MB.

Enough to last me until I this flight is announced :-)

Not a bad start of the day, so to speak.
